Proudly Performing at Newcastle Pride: ‘I Can Tell’ Hits the Bernies Bar Stage

When planning my regional trans comedy tour, I knew I had to include Newcastle, NSW! I’ve heard so much about the iconic queer venue, Bernies Bar, and with Newcastle Pride happening in October, it felt like the perfect time to bring my show to this vibrant community.

My show, I Can Tell, is the story of me—a UK-born, Sydney-based trans comedian—sharing daily Instagram videos about being trans. It explores my journey as a non-binary, transmasc person transitioning from lesbian identity. The show is packed with jokes but also touches on community building, allyship, and the complexities of gender identity—without ever spoon-feeding the audience.

Bringing I Can Tell to Newcastle during Pride is especially exciting because it’s about increasing transmasc visibility in regional NSW and creating space for connection and celebration.
